TENDENCIA · JAPÓN · ÚLTIMOS 7 DÍAS

A Twitch streamer was forced to pay around £9,000 at a restaurant in Tokyo after his viewers placed orders to his table without him knowing. Yesterday, Nicholas "Lacy" Fosco went on his first-ever live stream from Japan with his girlfriend when he accidentally showed the table's digital ordering QR code. Soon after, he was approached by several waiters about ordering massive amounts of food and drinks. Viewers watching had scanned the QR code from their screens and used the restaurant's remote ordering system to spam the table. The waiter explained that the bill was now 1.6 million yen (roughly 12,000 USD). In the video, the streamer explained how he had to pay 12,000 dollars (around £9,000) because the viewers “thought it would be funny.” "That was weird chat," he said dejectedly. “I’ve never seen anything like that.”
